The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data as confidential and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations (GDPR / DSGVO) and this Privacy Policy.
As a purely static website hosted on modern cloud infrastructure, we do not use tracking cookies, analytics frameworks, or user databases on this site. Your data is only processed where technically necessary to display this website.

3. Data Collection on our Website
Hosting and Infrastructure
Our website is hosted on Azure Static Web Apps (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland). When you access our website, Microsoft automatically collects data in server log files to ensure technical security and stable operations.
Server Log Files
The infrastructure automatically records the following technical information transmitted by your browser:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL (the page you visited before)
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address (anonymized/truncated depending on provider settings)
The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of the website.
4. Your Rights as a Data Subject
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to information: You can ask what personal data we hold about you.
- Right to correction or deletion: You can request that incorrect data be corrected or completely deleted.
- Right to object: You have the right to object to the processing of your data based on legitimate interests.
If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact the controller using the email address provided above.
5. Ticketing and Event Registration
Ticketing Platform (Pretix)
We use the ticketing system Pretix, operated by rami.io GmbH (Berthold-Mogel-Straße 1, 69126 Heidelberg, Germany), to manage event registrations and ticket sales. When you register for the event, your data is processed on their servers on our behalf based on a data processing agreement.
Free "Community Tickets" (Data Sharing & Newsletter)
We offer free "Community Tickets" to make the event accessible. In exchange for the free ticket, attendees must explicitly consent during the checkout process to:
- Sponsor Data Sharing: Your registration data (first name, last name, email address) will be shared with the official sponsors of the event for promotional follow-up communication.
- BuildClouds Newsletter: Your email address will be added to the buildclouds newsletter for updates on future conferences and workshops.
The legal basis for this processing is your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You have the right to revoke this consent at any time (e.g., by using the unsubscribe link in the newsletter or contacting the respective sponsors directly), without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Paid "Supporter Tickets"
If you purchase a paid "Supporter Ticket", the mandatory data sharing with sponsors and the newsletter subscription do not apply. Your personal data is processed primarily for the purpose of fulfilling the contract (issuing the ticket and invoice) in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
During checkout, you are provided with a voluntary option to subscribe to the BuildClouds newsletter. If you choose to opt-in, your email address will be processed for this purpose based on your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which can be revoked at any time.
